Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy helps reverse the physical and mental effects of aging, illness, environmental pollution and increase overall wellness by fighting harmful free radicals and toxins with pure oxygen. Adam & Eve Medical Aesthetics is pleased to be the only medical aesthetic practice of its kind to offer a top-of-the-line medical grade hyperbaric chamber to its patients.

To realize the benefits of Hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy (HBOT), patients are examined and prescribed a customized treatment plan performed by our experienced and certified physicians, under the “hands on” supervision of our Medical Director Dr. Carl Sonder throughout the entire hyperbaric treatment sessions. Patients are afforded the highest level of oxygen therapy as our chamber is a monoplace 100 percent oxygen stream within a pressurized environment, not a pup tent or oxygen mask chamber. However, nearly the entire top portion of the chamber is a window, giving it an open feel.

HBOT is a FDA-approved treatment for 15 conditions, including actinomycosis, air or gas embolism, carbon monoxide poisoning and smoke inhalation, clostridial myonecrosis, cyanide poisoning, crush injury, compartment syndrome, and other acute traumatic ischemias, decompression sickness, diabetic wounds, necrotizing soft tissue infections, osteomyelitis, radiation tissue damage, severe anemia, compromised skin grafts and flaps, and thermal burns.

But HBOT is commonly used “off label” to help treat a variety of conditions. Off label uses include general wound healing, allergies, asthma, seizures, burns, post-cosmetic surgery healing, cancer treatment recovery, ALS, stroke, Alzheimer’s, chronic fatigue, diabetes, hearing problems and general health rejuvenation, as well as many others.
How does it work?

HBOT therapy delivers 100 percent oxygen at a pressure higher than sea level, while the air we normally breathe only delivers 20 percent oxygen. The comfortable oxygen-rich atmosphere in the chamber causes a saturation of oxygen in a patient’s blood plasma and tissue fluids. This oxygen saturation helps the body to neutralize harmful free radicals, eliminate toxins, and renew healthy cellular function. Sessions help heal the body and refresh the mind, increasing energy, wellness and vitality.

Who can use it?
Those recovering from an illness, stroke or surgery can use HBOT, as well as those seeking its restorative effects. Before scheduling sessions in the hyperbaric chamber patients are evaluated by Dr. Sonder. Sessions are closely supervised.
